Your first video, made simple.

1. Bring your story

Choose a plan, start your seven-day trial with a card, and finish account setup after checkout. Your dashboard shows the exact trial end date. Open My account → Manage billing to cancel before that date to avoid a charge. In your studio, choose Record for your camera, microphone or screen, or Upload to use a file you already have.

For a podcast with guests, choose Invite guests on Home, or open Podcast rooms. Name the room and choose Create & enter room, then copy the invite link from the room header. Up to three guests can join without an account. Everyone checks their camera and microphone and agrees to recording before joining. Admit your guests from the waiting room, then choose Record everyone.

Each participant records on their own device. The host also gets a combined conversation. After a take, keep everyone’s tab open until the backups finish. Guests can retry or download their recording if an upload fails. Guest room availability is shown before you create one.

Read a script while you record

Open Recording studio in the left menu. Choose Camera & mic or Screen, then Read from a script. Paste your script or import a .txt file and choose Use script. On supported desktop browsers, the script opens in a floating window so it does not shrink your video. Voice follow is selected when supported; steady scrolling is available too. Paste or import your script, then rehearse before recording. Starting a recording restarts the script; Pause stops both the recording and scrolling.

Pop out opens a movable reading window. Drag its title bar near your camera while you share another tab or window. Supported browsers can keep it above other windows; ordinary popups may need to sit beside your shared window. Sharing the whole screen can record the script too. End-of-script stops scrolling, not the recording. Your script stays in this open recording session and is discarded when you close the recorder.

Meet your clients with Studio

Paid Studio includes Meetings in the dashboard. Choose Start a meeting for a call now, or Schedule to set a date and share the client link. Up to three clients can join you without a Frameflo account. Rooms open shortly before the scheduled time. Clients join without a recording checkbox. Admit them, then choose Record meeting. Everyone sees a five-second countdown and a recording notice until you stop. Screen sharing and full-screen view work here too.

Meetings save one combined recording from the host’s browser. Guests do not save or upload separate local tracks. Keep the host’s tab open until the upload finishes. A temporary recovery copy stays on the host’s device until the cloud backup succeeds, then it is cleared automatically. The conversation is transcribed after backup. Podcast rooms still keep separate local originals for every participant. Open the meeting’s recordings to review the transcript, correct names, or edit the video. Recording storage and transcription use your existing Studio allowances.

Open Calendar settings when you need to change availability, booking length or your time zone. Open Settings → Brand & links to upload your logo, choose your accent and background colors, and see your client links. The same look applies to booking pages, meeting rooms and webinar invitations. In Brand & links, Your brand controls the shared appearance; Pages & links has separate addresses for your booking calendar, client call portal and webinars. Calendar settings contains the booking title, welcome message and availability. Turn on the page when you are ready to share its link. Clients see available times and receive a confirmation with their meeting link and a calendar download. Your booking settings show whether email notices are active. When connected, confirmations, one-hour reminders and cancellation notices are sent automatically. Otherwise, share the meeting link and calendar invitation. Calendar downloads do not synchronize with Google or Outlook, so avoid offering times when those calendars are busy.

Cancel a booking in Meetings to invalidate its room link. Clients can also cancel from their private confirmation link. To change a time, cancel and book again. Meetings and booking pages require paid Studio; they are not part of Starter, Creator, or the seven-day trial.

2. Let the transcript catch up

After an upload or recording, Frameflo saves a private backup and prepares your transcript automatically. Subtitles stay off the video until you add them in the editor. Added subtitles start in uppercase with a highlight following each spoken word. Click a caption in the video preview to choose its style and size. Drag its corner handle to resize it, or drag the words to move them. The Captions on/off button beside the preview hides or restores subtitles for the entire video without removing the transcript. Save keeps your choice. Use Remember colors to keep your preferred colors for future videos on this browser. You can keep editing. Keep this tab open while the original uploads; the notification bell keeps its progress and any retries together. Retry resumes saved uploads and transcription jobs.

A first transcript uses your plan’s transcription minutes. Saved transcripts are reused. Double-click a word in the transcript to fix names and wording in place. Your corrections stay intact if background preparation finishes later.

Keep Projects organized

New folder sits beside New project. Open a folder before creating a subfolder or uploading into it. Each project’s menu contains Make shorts, Move to folder, Download original and Delete project. Delete project removes the project from Frameflo, its cloud backup and any browser cache after confirmation. Files you uploaded from your computer or downloaded stay on your computer. Choose Remove device copy only to free space while keeping the cloud version. A podcast also lets you keep or remove its individual source tracks. Copies downloaded on other devices stay there.

3. Edit by reading

Copilot opens beside your video, ready to help. Transcript and Captions are always one click away. On larger screens, the transcript, video and copilot sit together. On phones, Edit with Copilot keeps the message box and shortcuts in view. Choose Watch video to review the result, then return to Copilot. Transcript opens your words for direct editing. Tools contains B-roll & images, Video look & framing, and Music & sound. Hide Copilot when you want more room. Click a word to jump there. Drag across a passage or click its first word and Shift-click its last word, then choose Delete from video to cut footage. Double-click a word to correct its spelling directly in the transcript. Cutting words, removing a subtitle, and deleting a timeline section each ask for confirmation. Linked recording audio and video are cut together when you confirm a footage cut. Separated audio keeps its independent timing. Undo brings them back.

The timeline shows what remains, in playback order. Click to seek or split at the playhead. Choose Edit timeline to split a section, adjust its start and end, or reorder it. Save your changes to continue later. The original recording is kept intact.

For spelling corrections, double-click a transcript word, or focus it and press Enter. Type in place, then press Enter or click away to apply the correction. Escape cancels; Undo restores the previous wording. Save keeps your changes. Changing subtitle text does not change the spoken audio. After substantially rewriting a subtitle, review it again if you cut through that phrase.

Correct subtitles in your transcript

Double-click the word you want to change and type directly in the transcript. The surrounding words stay in place. Enter or clicking away applies your correction; Escape cancels. Clicking a subtitle in the preview or timeline takes you to its words in the transcript. Translated subtitles are corrected as a complete phrase because they do not share the spoken words’ timing.

Choose Captions → Style for position, size, colors and all six looks. Viral pop uses bold highlighted words, Spotlight uses moving color, Marker adds a moving background, and Clean keeps a simple look. Open More adjustments for 1 or 2 lines and Automatic or 1, 3 or 5 words at a time. Long subtitles play as short pages without losing your wording. Drag captions on the preview to move them.

Highlights follow measured speech timing. Rewritten or translated phrases without matching word timing page evenly, without guessing which word is spoken. Download video includes your styling; SRT files contain text and timing. Use Captions for the complete caption list or translation.

Translate your subtitles

After your recording is backed up, open Captions → Translate. Choose from 15 languages and check the displayed AI allowance cost. Translation uses one AI generation per section of up to 80 subtitles or 8,000 characters. Review the sample, then Apply translation and Save. Your audio stays in its original language; the translated wording appears in your preview, video download and SRT file.

You can switch tools while translation runs. If you close the editor, open the project again and use Resume translation. Failed work returns its unused AI allowance; completed sections still count. Edit text lets you correct the translation, and Restore original subtitles brings back the saved original words. Translated text uses phrase timing. After cutting through a translated phrase, translate again to refresh the affected subtitles.

Voice dubbing is not enabled. Eye-contact correction is an experimental preview, described below. Subtitle translation does not clone voices or change mouth movements.

Clean up silences and filler words

In the transcript, choose Remove pauses & filler words. Frameflo checks the original audio on your device for quiet pauses and finds English “um,” “uh” and “erm” in the timed transcript. Choose a natural, tighter or more relaxed pause length. Listen to each suggestion and uncheck anything you want to keep, then confirm Remove selected cuts. The matching audio and video are removed together; Undo restores the whole cleanup. Save when you are happy.

This uses no AI allowance. Silence scanning works without a transcript and supports sources up to six hours in supported audio formats. Noise or music may prevent a pause from being classified as quiet. Filler removal only finds words actually retained in the transcript; older transcripts may omit fillers. New transcriptions retain them. Meaningful responses such as “uh-huh,” and words such as “like” and “right,” are left alone. If your recording audio is separate, link it to the video in Tools → Music & sound before applying cleanup. Review translated or heavily rewritten captions after cuts.

Work with your keyboard

Press Space or K to play and pause outside text fields. J and L move back or forward five seconds; the arrow keys move one second. Use ⌘/Ctrl+B to split at the playhead, ⌘/Ctrl+S to save, and ⌘/Ctrl+Z to undo. Delete and Backspace ask before cutting selected transcript words or a focused timeline section. Press ? or the keyboard button for the full shortcut guide. Normal typing and text undo keep working inside subtitle fields.

Ask for the edit you want

Choose where you’ll share: Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube or a square social post. Frameflo sets the framing and subtitle position. Choose Copilot to say “make a 30-second TikTok with bold subtitles,” “remove long pauses,” or “find the strongest opening.” Type your request or use the microphone button in supported browsers. Voice input uses your browser’s speech service.

Review the suggested edit, then choose Apply edit. Each suggestion uses one AI generation. Play it back and use Undo to go back. The assistant can cut and reorder moments, choose styles, adjust color and brightness, add a title, remove pauses or simple filler sounds, and switch on voice cleanup. Try “make it brighter and a little warmer.” Color and design requests work after backup even without a speech transcript. It cannot invent new footage or publish your video.

Choose Tools → Music & sound → Mix, then turn on Clearer voice to reduce low rumble and soften volume changes. Listen before and after. This uses speech equalization and compression; it does not remove every background sound. Choose Tools → Video look & framing for those adjustments. Captions contains subtitle styling. Music & sound also contains volume and playback speed. Find B-roll in Copilot or Tools → B-roll & images.

After separating recording audio, link it to the video again before asking AI to change cuts or timing. Added music and effects keep their own timeline positions, so review them after cutting. For several clips at once, choose Make shorts from a project or the editor. Pick your recording and press Make my shorts. The default makes up to three vertical clips around 30 seconds, with subtitles. Complete thoughts take priority over an exact length: clips start at a sentence boundary and end after the payoff, with a little quiet around the cut. Check opening and Check ending preview the first or last five seconds of the source cut before opening the full editor. Optional preferences change the length, platform, style, count or topic. The app backs up your recording if needed, prepares its transcript, finds moments and saves editable clip drafts automatically. Open a clip to adjust framing or wording, then download it. Clips are chosen from original spoken content; existing timeline cuts and added audio do not carry over. Color adjustments do carry over. Keep the page open while it works; returning to Make shorts lets you resume an interrupted batch without creating duplicates.

Shape your sound

The timeline shows the real waveform from your recording. Open Tools → Music & sound → Mix to set recording volume, mute it, or use Clearer voice. Separate audio from video puts your recording on an independent track. Select a clip to move it, change its level, trim it, split it, or add fades. Drag clips along the timeline; use arrow keys for small moves and Shift for one-second moves. The output meter helps you spot levels that are too loud.

Separated audio keeps its own timing when the video is cut or sped up. Choose Link audio to video to make the original speech follow your footage again. This replaces edits to separated recording audio after confirmation; added music and sounds stay. This separates the recording from the video—it does not isolate voices or instruments inside a mixed recording.

Under Tools → Music & sound → Music, upload an audio file up to 25 MB and ten minutes. Preview it in your private audio library, then add it at the playhead. Music generation is a limited pilot: describe a 30-second instrumental and review the result before adding it. Each request uses one AI generation, with up to ten attempts per month, one during a trial, and shared service capacity. Failed work returns its AI allowance. You can switch tools while music is generating. If you close the editor, reopen Tools → Music & sound → Music to check or resume the pending request; unconfirmed work is never submitted twice. Only use uploaded audio you have permission to use.

Tools → Music & sound → Sound effects includes original whoosh, chime, pop and rise sounds without using AI allowance. Added sounds and music have their own volume, mute, trims and fades, and are included in the download. You can add up to 20 music or effect clips, with at most 12 audio clips playing simultaneously.

Improve your video’s colors

Open Tools → Video look & framing and choose Auto improve. It checks a few small frames from the parts of the recording you kept, entirely on this device. Compare original, then Keep improvement or Cancel. No AI credits or upload are needed. It makes conservative lighting and color adjustments; it cannot recover detail lost in a severely dark or overexposed recording.

For your own look, choose Original, Crisp, Warm or Mono. Adjust colors contains brightness, contrast, color strength and warmth. Motion & fades adds a slow push-in, darkened edges or gentle fades. Preview and download use the same settings; subtitles keep their own colors. Save keeps your change and Undo restores the previous version.

Connect your brand and share a clip

Open Settings → Integrations to connect social accounts when publishing is enabled. Every paid plan includes one brand: one account per supported network. Trial accounts can keep downloading videos. If setup is pending, the page says so and connection buttons stay off.

In the editor, choose Project options → Publish to social. Select your channels, add a caption and review audience settings. Prepare post renders your current cuts, subtitles, colors and sound into an MP4 and saves a private draft. Keep the tab visible while it renders. Review the finished video, then choose Publish now. TikTok receives a private draft to finish in its app. Direct publishing supports clips up to 3 minutes and 90 MB; download longer videos for manual upload.

Recent posts in Integrations show each channel’s actual delivery status. You can reopen a prepared draft, check an interrupted post, or remove an unpublished draft with confirmation. A lost connection never automatically creates a second public post. Scheduling is not included.

Add a scene without losing your voice

Choose Add B-roll in Copilot, or Tools → B-roll & images. Paid Studio’s pilot includes 10 four-second silent visuals each month (not included during a trial), subject to available generation capacity. Describe a scene, choose Generate visual, and return here when it is ready. Your recording must finish its cloud backup first. You can close the editor while generation runs.

Choose Preview visual, move the preview playhead to where you want the scene, then choose Add at that time. Your voice and subtitles stay in place. Save to keep the placement, Undo to reverse it, or remove the placement and add it elsewhere. Reuse saved visuals without another generation.

Preview eye-contact correction

Open a backed-up video, then Tools → Eye correction. Choose a strength and click Correct eye contact. Progress appears over your video. When it finishes, the corrected video appears in the main preview with your cuts and subtitles. Use Revert to original to undo the correction while keeping your other edits, then Save to keep your edit.

Eye correction supports one forward-facing person in videos up to two minutes, 1080p and 80 MB. It processes a private copy of your video and may not suit every face or pair of glasses. Availability depends on your account.

4. Download and share

Save your changes, then choose Download video. Select 720p for a smaller file, 1080p for Full HD, or 4K when your original footage meets the 4K source requirement. Wide 4K is 3840 × 2160, vertical is 2160 × 3840 and square is 2160 × 2160. Larger exports need more memory and a capable browser. 4K stays unavailable for smaller originals; Frameflo does not generate missing detail. Your cuts, audio mix, fades, video effects, B-roll, subtitles, titles, framing, speed and voice cleanup are included. Keep this tab visible; export takes about the length of the finished video. Switching tabs stops the export so your cuts stay accurate. Your browser determines whether the file is MP4 or WebM. You can also download an SRT subtitle file timed to your edited video, or the untouched original.

Upload your finished file to your chosen platform. Keep downloaded copies of important originals before clearing browser data. The cloud library lets you restore backed-up recordings on another device.
